My Role & Responsibilities
I worked end-to-end on this project, from concept to the final logo and website. My responsibilities included understanding the client’s brief, developing creative solutions, and managing the project timeline between the logo and website delivery.
I collaborated closely with the client to translate their goals into the logo and website.
Branding
Understanding the client and the project
At the start of the process, the client was asked to develop a mood board to clarify what they understood by the chosen words: luxury, minimalism, trust, and tranquility. Conclusions were drawn from this, allowing a competitive analysis to be developed.
The final brand identity and the title of the book
From the conversation with Mr. Uiterloo, a number of core values emerged that immediately guided the design: expertise, holistic care, personal contact, and trust. The practice operates based on the five fundamental pillars of osteopathy, namely biomechanics, neurology, cardiorespiratory functions, metabolism, and psychosocial factors. This calls for an appearance that feels both professional and human.
This translated into a wordmark that exudes calm and authority. The typography is clean and classic, referencing the scientific foundation of the field. At the same time, the subtle integration of spinal elements into the letter U creates a direct, recognizable reference to the body and osteopathic treatment, without the logo becoming cluttered or literal.
Website
Designing a website
The Osteopathie Uiterloo website was built in Framer and designed with one clear goal in mind: to quickly give a new visitor the confidence to make an appointment. In the healthcare market, that confidence is everything. People visiting an osteopath for the first time have questions, doubts, and sometimes a slight barrier. The website had to remove that barrier.
In terms of content, the website is structured around the five fundamental pillars of osteopathy, which are reflected in the section "What does Osteopathie Uiterloo stand for?". This gives the website depth without becoming technical or distant. The copy is written in an accessible style but maintains a professional tone appropriate to the medical context.
A conscious choice was to split treatments by target group: adults, pregnant women, athletes, children, and babies each have their own page. This not only makes the website easier to find in search engines but also ensures that every visitor feels addressed immediately. Someone looking for help during pregnancy will find relevant information right away without having to search. The visual style aligns seamlessly with the corporate identity: the light color palettes, the polished photography of treatment moments, and the calm typography reinforce the sense of professionalism and personal attention. The website feels warm without undermining the authority of the field. That balance is exactly what this type of healthcare website is all about.
